Lenovo has produced more computers worldwide in the period July-September 2012 than any other company surpassing thus selling the HP. Quarterly report on computer hardware industry, Gartner claims has produced 13,767,976 units in the last quarter, compared to HP's number is 13,550,761 units, writes Krokodili.com.
In general, computer companies produced 87,500,000 units in the third quarter, a decrease of 8% compared with the same period a year ago. A rival research firm, IDC, HP still appeared in the first place worldwide with 13,946,000 units for the third quarter, slightly more than Lenovo to 13,824,000 units. Gartner and IDC show that the HP is still the king of computers in the U.S., where Gartner claims that HP has produced 4,141,926 units in the third quarter.
Dell was second in the U.S., followed by Apple. Lenovo is the fourth in the computer market in the U.S. with only 1,357,882 units in the last quarter.
