Serge Haroche and David Wineland are physicians who work in the study of light and matter its honored with the Nobel Prize in Physics.
French scientist, Haroche and American Wineland will share the amount of 1 million allocated by the Nobel Institute in Sweden.
In justification of the award of this prize, the institute stated that the work of these two scientists could open the gate and new ways to advance communication.
"The price is given as an acknowledgment for the detection of experimental methods that enable the measurement and manipulation of individual quantum systems," the Nobel citation.
Merits of both physicists lies on the development of sharing research work and study for the first time photons and ions, the constituent particles of light.
