A passenger plane was forced by Turkish fighter jets to land at Ankara airport after allegations that illegally shipped weapons to Syria.
Self Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on board the aircraft were significant amounts of weapons and ammunition that are illegally shipped to Syria. Erdogan explained that the weapons seized Russian model had a destination in the forces of the regime of President Bashar al Assad.
Russia and Syria Turkey reacted strongly to the incident in question on the grounds that he had violated international law and had placed the lives of personnel and aircraft passengers at risk.
